Essential questions about VPS hosting, management, networking, billing and rules are collected on one page.
A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual server with allocated computing resources, its own operating system and administrative access. A VPS is suitable for hosting websites, applications, VPNs, databases, bots, APIs and other projects that need more capabilities and control than standard shared hosting provides.
With shared hosting, multiple customers use a common environment and have limited access to server settings. A VPS provides a separate virtual machine with allocated resources, its own operating system and root access. You can install software and configure the server for your project yourself.
A KVM VPS is a virtual server based on Kernel-based Virtual Machine virtualization. Each VPS operates as a separate virtual machine with its own operating system, disk, memory and network settings. Axion.host uses KVM virtualization for its VPS servers.
A VPS is suitable for most server workloads: websites and online stores, backend applications, APIs, VPNs, proxies, databases, Docker containers, game servers, bots, monitoring systems, corporate services and development environments. Server use must comply with the Axion.host Rules and applicable law.
Yes. A VPS can host virtually any type of website, including corporate sites, online stores, blogs, landing pages, forums and web applications. You can install Nginx, Apache, PHP, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL and any other required software yourself.
Yes. Axion.host does not directly limit the number of websites. The practical number of projects depends on VPS resources, software configuration and workload.
Yes. A VPS can run WordPress, WooCommerce and other content management systems. You can configure the web server, PHP, database, caching and other components yourself. An entry-level configuration is usually sufficient for a small website, while busy projects should select more RAM and CPU resources.
Yes. You may use a VPS to create your own VPN as long as you comply with the Axion.host Rules. You can install WireGuard, OpenVPN and other lawful VPN software on the server.
Yes. You may install proxy servers and other networking software on a VPS provided that its use does not violate the Axion.host Rules or applicable law.
Yes. A VPS is suitable for running Telegram bots and other automated services continuously. You can use Python, Node.js, PHP, Go and other required technologies.
Yes. On compatible operating systems, you can install Docker and Docker Compose and run containerized applications yourself.
Yes. You can install MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB and other database management systems on a VPS. For database workloads, choose a plan with sufficient RAM and fast storage.
Yes, provided the selected configuration is sufficient for the specific game. CPU, RAM and disk requirements vary significantly depending on the game, number of players and installed modifications.
Axion.host offers popular Linux server operating systems. The available image list is shown when creating or reinstalling a VPS. Other operating systems and custom ISO images may also be available depending on the plan and technical capabilities.
Yes. Ubuntu is one of the most popular VPS operating systems and is suitable for websites, Docker, VPNs, applications, databases and most server workloads.

When the corresponding image is available in the control panel, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux can be installed directly from the available templates. The current operating-system list is displayed in the server control panel.
Windows may be available on compatible plans and configurations. A suitable license may be required to use Windows. Check the availability of specific versions when ordering the server.
Yes. Customers can reinstall the VPS operating system through the control panel. Please note that reinstalling the OS removes existing data from the system disk, so save all important information before starting the operation.
The ability to mount a custom ISO depends on the selected plan and platform configuration. If the required image is not among the standard options, contact Axion.host support.
Yes. Customers receive administrative access to the VPS. Linux uses root access or an account with equivalent administrative privileges. This lets you install software and fully configure the server yourself.
Yes. A VPS provides administrative access, so you can install the software you need. Restrictions apply only to activities prohibited by the Axion.host Rules or applicable law.
Yes. Linux VPS servers can be administered over SSH. For better security, use SSH keys, disable unnecessary services and install security updates promptly.
Yes. You can change the administrative account password yourself. We recommend a unique, strong password or SSH-key authentication.
Most VPS servers are activated automatically after successful payment and any required checks. Deployment normally takes a few minutes. In some cases, activation may take longer.
After activation, the server appears in the client area. The customer receives the required connection details and can manage the server through the control panel.
Yes. Core server-management operations are available through the control panel. You can reboot, power off, power on or reinstall the VPS without contacting technical support.
First check the VPS status in the control panel and reboot it if necessary. If the server remains unavailable or the issue is related to the network or infrastructure, contact Axion.host technical support.
The ability to increase resources depends on the current VPS configuration and resource availability on the physical server. To increase CPU, RAM or disk space, contact support or use the corresponding client-area function if available.
Reducing a configuration may be technically restricted, especially when the disk size would need to be reduced. A move to a smaller plan is reviewed individually.
An entry-level plan is usually sufficient for a small website, VPN, bot or test project. For online stores, multiple websites, databases, Docker and demanding applications, choose a configuration with more RAM and CPU. If you are unsure, start with a smaller configuration and increase resources as the project grows.
Axion.host provides VPS servers in multiple locations. Available countries and data centers are shown on the VPS page and during checkout. Germany is one of the main locations for European projects.
Yes. Axion.host provides VPS hosting in Germany. This location is suitable for projects serving users in Germany and other European countries.
Axion.host infrastructure in Germany is located in Frankfurt am Main. Frankfurt is one of Europe’s largest telecommunications hubs and a convenient location for European projects.
A Germany VPS is suitable for websites, applications, VPNs, APIs, game projects and corporate services whose users are in Germany or elsewhere in Europe. Locating a server geographically closer to users can help reduce network latency across Europe.
When the corresponding location is available, a USA VPS can be ordered from the Axion.host US server page. Current plan availability is shown during checkout.
Depending on the selected plan, a VPS is provided with a dedicated IP address. The number of included addresses is listed in the plan specifications.
Additional IP addresses may be provided when address space and technical capacity are available. In some cases, you may need to justify the intended use of additional addresses.
If you find that the assigned IP address had significant reputation issues before you began using the VPS, contact Axion.host support. We will check the address and, if the issue is confirmed, consider replacing it free of charge. If the IP was blacklisted because of customer activity, a free replacement is not guaranteed.
Normally, no. Rebooting the virtual server does not by itself change its assigned IP address. However, Axion.host may replace an address when required for technical or network reasons.
All current VPS plans include unmetered traffic through a shared port at up to 2 Gbps. Available speed may be limited depending on network and infrastructure load.
All current VPS servers connect through a shared port at up to 2 Gbps. This is not a dedicated guaranteed connection: actual speed depends on load, routing, the remote network and current network conditions.
Lawful email use is permitted, but spam and unsolicited bulk email are prohibited. To protect network reputation, certain SMTP ports may be restricted by default. You can request removal of the restriction through support; in some cases, you will need to describe the intended use.
The level of network protection depends on the location and infrastructure in use. Basic protection mechanisms may be applied at network and data-center level. If your project requires specific DDoS-protection parameters, confirm them with support before ordering.
Unless backups are explicitly listed as a feature of the selected service, customers are responsible for creating backups of important data. We strongly recommend keeping an independent copy of critical data outside the primary VPS.
VPS services are provided on a prepaid basis. During checkout, the customer selects an available billing term and pays using a supported payment method. After successful payment, the VPS is normally activated automatically.
Available billing terms are shown during checkout. Depending on the offer, monthly and longer billing periods may be available. Discounts may apply to certain terms.
Yes. Some Axion.host plans may include discounts for longer prepaid terms. The discount is displayed automatically when you select the billing period.
If a cryptocurrency payment method is available in the Axion.host client area, you can select it during checkout. The current list of payment methods is displayed immediately before payment.
New VPS customers may be able to request a refund within 24 hours of the first service activation. The current Axion.host Rules define the terms and exclusions. Certain add-on services, licenses, custom configurations and cases involving rule violations may not be refundable.
The service may be suspended after the paid term expires. If the server is not renewed within the applicable period, the VPS and its data may subsequently be deleted. Renew important servers in advance and maintain backups of your data.
Yes. You can disable further renewal of the service. Canceling automatic or future renewal does not by itself provide a refund for a term that has already been paid.
A separate free trial may not be available. New VPS customers may instead be covered by refund terms during the first 24 hours after activation. Check the current Axion.host Rules for the applicable terms.
Yes. After activation, the server can be managed through the Axion.host control panel. Available functions may include viewing VPS status, powering it on or off, rebooting it, reinstalling the operating system and other operations.
Not necessarily, but a VPS requires more self-management than standard shared hosting. For basic tasks, learning how to connect over SSH and use essential Linux commands is sufficient. Complex projects may require system-administration experience.
Standard support primarily covers Axion.host infrastructure: virtualization, server availability, networking and technical issues related to the service. Installing and configuring customer software may not be included in standard support.

Yes. You can install an SSL/TLS certificate yourself. Websites can use compatible free certificates such as Let’s Encrypt or a commercial certificate from a provider of your choice.
Axion.host does not impose a separate limit on the number of domains that can point to a VPS. Limits may depend on the control panel, license, software and server resources you use.
A VPS does not require purchasing and housing your own hardware. A server can be deployed within minutes, managed remotely and upgraded to a more powerful configuration when necessary. For most small and medium projects, a VPS is a simpler way to obtain a complete server environment.
A VPS is suitable for most websites, applications, VPNs, bots and small or medium services. A dedicated server makes sense for projects that require large resource volumes, physically dedicated hardware or special performance requirements.
